WRT Sign Building

West Rockhill Township, Bucks County:  On November 18, 2020, the West Rockhill Township Board of Supervisors voted to approve the purchase and installation of a ground-mounted Photovoltaic Solar System.  The system will generate 100% of the electricity currently purchased for the administration building including heating and cooling, maintenance buildings, our park system, wells, street lighting, and traffic signals.

"We also see this as an educational and informational opportunity.  Working with the Upper Bucks County Technical School and the Bucks County Intermediate Unit, we plan to include students during the installation of the solar array.  Additionally, we want to include students in the design of aesthetically appealing fencing and ground cover consisting of Pennsylvania native vegetation, and the development of a dashboard viewable to the public displaying real-time generation, historical data, and information about the system." said  Jim Miller, Chairman West Rockhill Board of Supervisors.

The winning bid went to Exact Solar, a Bucks County firm located in Yardley, Pa. For more information, you can contact the township at manager@westrockhilltownship.org
